ISADORA, 2015 Silk scarves (approx. 100 old, inherited and newer silk scarves), fan Dimensions: variable, here 15 m x 1m x 2.70cm ISADORA is a work from approx. 100 old silk scarves, the oldest is from the 20s.
Sewn together into a long scarf, the foulards blow here in front of the window – a fine, light cloth that is already visible from a distance: color in motion. A different picture emerges from the exhibition space of the Kunsthalle Ziegelhütte in Appenzell to the outside: the snow-covered mountain rests behind the fluttering scarf. The light cloth with its many patterns seduces and is a tribute to Isadora Duncan.
